Vikings shut-out South Caldwell

North Wilkes Vikings did something last night that they never done in soccer ever. They shut down a 4-A school of South Caldwell in soccer!! I wasn't here for the first half, cause had volleyball at Forbush. Sounds like in first half it was hard one for the Vikings but they scored 2 goals. I finally arrived to see the second half, Vikings moved the ball very well and had some close goals that should have went in. North added 3 goals in the middle of the second half and with less then 1:30, the Vikings added one more to its final score of 6-0. Up next for the Vikings will be East Surry tonight at 7pm!!
Volleyball score for last night against the Falcons of Forbush was 12-25,10-25 and 6-25 with Lady Falcons going on win 3-0. JV's was Forbush 2-0 (17-25 and 9-25)!!
The Lady Vikings will start it's home opener against the Eagles of Wilkes Central in our new gym at 4:30 with JV's and varsity will follow. Love to see the biggest crowd for our grand opener of the Vikings new gym!! |
