Hibriten knocks-off Lady Vikings!!

It has been less then 4 years since the Lady Viking softball team been to state play-offs.
The news came in sometime Monday that North Wilkes softball has been selected as a wild card for the 2A bracket. So North coach ran around and getting stuff ready to play today(Tuesday) by getting all players a t-shirt, school band play while players loading the bus.
Both teams were scoreless until Hibriten scored one in bottom of second. Lady Panthers held North batters with only one hit during the game. Hibriten made it 2-0 in bottom of third!!
North held Hibriten pretty well during the game only allowing 6 hits in the game. Hibriten put another run across the plate in bottom of fifth to make it 3-0 Panthers. North Wilkes defensive in bottom sixth allow three more runs in to make the final score Hibriten-6 North Wilkes- 0.
North Wilkes finishes there record at 6-15 for the 2009 season. Hibriten moving on with a record of 19-4!! |
